New Instructions for Drop-off and Pickup at CIS

CIS Families,

We hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer break. We are excited to have everyone back at CIS!
The building is ready to welcome 262 excited students to what will be a great school year.
One new addition to the CIS campus is our new circle drive located on the north side of our building.
We will have a new process for bringing students to school and picking them up after dismissal.
The circle drive in front of CIS will only be used by our buses during drop-off and pickup times. We are
asking everyone bringing a student to school to avoid using Buchanan (the street in front of CIS).
Eventually, Buchanan will only be used by our buses between 7:30-8:30 am and 2:30-3:30 pm.
The best route for families to use when transporting their child to CIS is to come north on Chiles St. At
the stop sign turn left and continue north on Miller Road and then turn right (east) onto Breckenridge
St. Breckenridge will be ONE WAY (Eastbound) from 7:30-8:30 am and 2:30-4:00 pm each day. Cars
will enter the circle, drive to their right and then exit to their right (east) back onto Breckenridge. At the
stop sign, drivers will have the choice to turn left or right onto Oak St.
No cars should enter the west parking lot next to CIS to drop-off or to pick up students.
For the first few days, we will have CIS personnel at different areas to help families. We will also have
signs posted to guide families.
Please review the attached map for clarification. If you have any questions, please contact the CIS
office.
We know there will be some confusion for the first few days as we all get used to the new procedures.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
